No matter if I have shut down to DOS mode or booted to it or stayed in
Win95, no matter if I use use_vesa(1) or not, I got the following
diagnostic report when I call 261 and when I exit without calling -1

    ------------------------------- Video--------------------------------=
- =

                       Video Adapter Type: VGA
                             Manufacturer: Phoenix
                                    Model:
                             Display Type: VGA Color
                               Video Mode: 98
                        Number of Columns: 128
                           Number of Rows: 48
                       Video BIOS Version:
                          Video BIOS Date: 06/20/97
                   VESA Support Installed: Yes
                             VESA Version: 1.02
                            VESA OEM Name: Trident TGUI96xx
                        Secondary Adapter: None

Anyone heard of this mode 98? Anyway, when I have a minute, I'm going to=

call Trident. BTW, from the report above, can someone tell me what Phoen=
ix
manufactured as opposed to Trident?

Thanx
