[most of the HTML text deleted]

Me too.

There are several reasons why HTML should *not* be used in e-mail, e.g.:
- It is not necessary.
- HTML is a language for building web pages, not for e-mail.
- Not all e-mail clients can show HTMLized text. Then it looks as shown
  above, and is almost unreadable.
- HTML encoding is additional overhead. A HTML file can have 10 times
(sic!) the size of a plain text file with the same content.
So online bandwidth and space on the users harddisk is wasted.
- HTML can contain scripts (that can be viruses and worms)!!

Here is a good webpage about this topic:
(Sorry, only in German, but I'm sure there will be good English
 sources, too.)
