There are several reasons why HTML should *not* be used in e-mail, e.g.: - It is not necessary. - HTML is a language for building web pages, not for e-mail. - Not all e-mail clients can show HTMLized text. Then it looks as shown above, and is almost unreadable. - HTML encoding is additional overhead. A HTML file can have 10 times (sic!) the size of a plain text file with the same content. So online bandwidth and space on the users harddisk is wasted. - HTML can contain scripts (that can be viruses and worms)!!
