Presumably because you don't have those libraries on your pc, but that 
doesn't mean that bindu is, or is not, working properly. Not having the 
file available returns a 0, and not being able to load a file which *is* 
available also returns a 0. Clearly, on my pc, the files are available,
if they weren't, running the test in interpreted mode would have failed.

Tried that, put a puts(1,"Done") line at end,  same results.

Do you mean -clear-routines?  Trying bindu -clear bindtest.exu 
just returns a usage message.
