Hello! I would like to interject something about the #euphoria channel here as well. Please keep in mind, folks, that people will not always be in the channel, and those who are may not, at any given moment, being paying attention to the channel. This is one of the purposes of the bots: to keep the channel open. None of us are paid by anyone, including RDS, to be there. We are there in a volunteer capacity, and when real life comes a'calling, we have no choice but to take care of real life, i.e. work, family, etc. Chris is there for a majority of the day; however, remember that while he is present on the channel, he is also at his place of employment, meaning that his real-world job takes precedent over the goings-on in the channel, as it should be. Additionally, nearly all of us are programmers, and when we're at the computer, we are programming. When I am on the channel, I make my best effort to arrange things so that I can see people join and part, but this is *not* always possible, because I may have Euphoria apps running, I may have my editor maximized, I might be debugging something and can't get away from it, or I may be throwing a temper tantrum. The point is, especially during the day (in North America, where most of the regulars are from), chances are if you join the channel and say "Hi," you won't get a response for a couple of minutes, because one of us coders will have to notice you first. So, if you have a question about Euphoria, or programming, or underwater basket weaving, or thermodynamics, or the alien ship in the hangar at Roswell, by all means drop by. But don't don't expect someone to respond to you immediately. We aren't being rude ... we're being busy. Thank you, Travis Beaty Associate Warden, #euphoria asylum Mason City, Iowa.
