it has been awhile since i corrected the same problem. it happened after 
i downloaded the new winlib. but that was not the problem.
both win32lib and edsgui use a compat01.ew file.
the incorrect one is being picked up first. i don't remember exactly my 
solution. whether it was the euinc statement picking up the wrong one 
first or i commented out or made the include statment more specific.
sorry i couldn't be more help. next time i will keep notes.
