you could try the freeware dos partitioner at http://www.users.intercom.com/~ranish/part/ it includes a disk and/or partition copy utility that copies sector by sector- see help menu for commands - they're not at all obvious. the interface is poor, but the website has good documentation. i haven't tried it for a boot drive, but it has commands for separately copying the bootsector, so i'm sure it can be done somehow. cheers tacitus Kat wrote: > > I'll take a look at CompUSA next time i am in a big city.
