I'm also using IE, tho sometimes i use Opera. Both have javascript and activex turned OFF. Both scripting languages are security problems, and i don't care to have other people writing files on my puter or telling her what to do. > It should > take you to http://nosolution.hypermart.net/index.shtml Wrong, it should display the HTML page i asked for, which it did. What it didn't do is run code i didn't approve of, in a language which allows free access to every bit of my computer. Not that the page author tried to get such access, but other pages *have* tried. One host in UK is of the *published* opinion that if you connect to them, they can connect to you, in any way they please. Btw, i also deleted all VB scripting, literally by deleting the VB files that some viruses/trojans (like Melissa and ILOVEYOU) need to run. I just got CDs with two versions of linux, which i'll put on the other puter, and it won't run any javascript or activex either. The url you gave works fine, thanks. Kat
