Hi Jeff
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "self intersecting shapes". Are these
shapes with loops in the boundary?

How are the shapes defined? Are the boundaries coloured lines that form a
closed polygon? Do different polygons have the same boundary colour? Or are
the shapes defined mathematically?
