Wow, this seems quite complicated. No wonder there's a whole group of people working on Winsock. I think I've barely scratched the surface, but I'm clutching at the wsock.ew's wsockCallSocket(host,port) as a promising start. Imagine the potential if I decide to write my very own and custom POP3 client. For example, instead of having the entire Outlook Express running in the background (bloatware), I can have the EU interpreter and the library and my program running in the background checking if I have mail every so often. Very cool.
