No you misunderstand... My setup program will allow you to specify any file(s) out of your distribution to create short cuts to on the start menu. I was wondering if there was a program that windoze calls on to do this, when you right click on a file and click create short cut, or drag a file to the desk top. At present, I will have to duplicate code from an existing short cut and change bits but this isnt a very good idea, for example I couldnt allow you to put a custom icon on the short cut in this way. -----Original Message----- From: Brian Jackson <bjackson at 2FARGON.COM> To: EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> Date: Friday, March 17, 2000 6:54 PM Subject: Re: Create shortcut >On Fri, 17 Mar 2000 18:18:37 -0000, Agent Spectre ><Email at SPECTRESOFTWARE.CO.UK> wrote: > >>How can I create a shortcut (like when you right click on a file, in >windoze) from inside a Euphoria program? >>I need to know this, as Spectre Setup, an install program I started work >on today, is 80% complete and this is holding me up! >> >>Pete King, Spectre Software. >> >>www.spectresoftware.co.uk >> >> > >Pete, > >Do you need to right click on ANY type of file and see this option (CONTEXT >MENU) or only on a SPECIFIC file extension (ACTION MENU)? > >Brian >
