Who doesn't use 'deltree' or 'rm -r' quite often? I do -- every day. I've also had to write a program to do this (it's called automated system maintenance). Luckily I was doing it in C, which has ftw() -- file tree walk... If the 'j0k3r' wants to do something malicious, then he can easily do it with system(). You're not improving security by being prejudiced.
