I could use some help with my soundcard. The kernel picks it up as a SB Pro...8bit. This card in DOS has been picked up as a SB Pro, SB16, SB, AdLib, MS SS, and FM. Do I just need to give more info to the module? in my modules.conf file I have: alias sound sb options sb io=0x240 irq=5 dma=1 do I need to supply other options? In KDE when I'm trying to play some wav files it sounds like it should with a lot of scratchy static sound. I have an old Gravis Ultrasound, rev. 2.2. Would that work better and can I give it the same parameters as I did my sound blaster? The sound blaster I'm using now is one of those generic things that Packard Bell gives with their old systems...Win95 picks it up as a Aztech Washington Galaxy 16. I'm gonna putz around and I'm asking now just in case I can't figure it out, so I don't have to wait for a response, plus I have nothing else to do during the school day after lunch.
