Judith,

18.3 does correctly carry controls with a group when the group is moved
offscreen, but doesn't then carry them if group is then moved up/down while
offscreen, or if moved back to onscreen; it does carry them if moved
horizontally offscreen.  Since I wanted to be able to re-move the groups one
at a time from offscreen back onscreen to adjust the position/size of their
child controls in the space available, I will probably have to use the
re-assign parent method Elliot sent, with re-made controls in groups in a
dummy window.
