I have found that Yahoo's anti-spam features work pretty well, although in order to access using POP, you'll have to pay about $2 per month. There is, however, a project at sourceforge that supposedly will access your Yahoo mail using the web interface, and present a POP interface to your email client, so you may be able to get around that.
