The kind of program I am wanting to do will be utility for MUD (multi-user dimen
sion) coders to do their coding offline. For those unfamiliar with MUD's they ar
e interactive text based games played over the internet. The one I use is writte
n in a langauge called LPC. It is very closely related to C, but is highly objec
t oriented.

nd I want to write a program that handles the redundant part. I have already wri
tten offline coders in C and in Basic. I think Euphoria is the perfect language
for doing development.

I wrote a very rudimentary roombuilder in csh once. Of course, it's very
keyed to the particular lib you're using, since the lfuns differ (probably
only 2.4.5/3.1.2 era muds are still using set_long() anymore); this one
used Viking's library. If you want, I'll send it to you, no warranties,
standard disclaimers and property rights apply, of course.

Which driver/lib are you writing this for?

LPC is actually turning into a production-quality language (the scripting
version is called Pike and Pike 0.5 inherits none of Lars' or Beek's code).
One such application is an industrial strength webserver called Roxen
Challenger (we use it, we love it) -- www.roxen.com. Pike is GPL, so you
can download it from pike.idonex.se if you want to play with it.
