This action is possible, but somewhat against the MS' plans, I think. I can download only installer for new comctl32.dll, not just this .dll. After installation, it is impossible to return to the old version automatically and I must uncab the old one from CD, delete new, delete some additional file and so on by hands. I have tested new Win32Lib/IDE with the new comctl32.dll on my machine, works well, but too slowly. And this 'slowly' is blame of new comctl32.dll, which has NO 486 or 586 CPU instructions, but has just brake for the smart and smooth motion of new controls on 486 & 586 & 686 & 786 CPUs. And All things become slow with this feature on my machine. I like Dos-32 programming, so this feature is not a too big problem for me. And on the new fast machihes, this feature is not a problem but just the feature. Thanks Dan. Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru
