Re: Quick update for the OpenEuphoria website?

I'm not sure that it matters that the web has advanced a lot.
I never said advances. I said, "the internet has learned a lot in the last twenty years."
The internet has learned some good things, like better methods of security, encryption, and authentication.
It's also learned bad things, like how to bypass outdated methods of security, encryption, and authentication.
These things matter to me. I can't keep running a website on nearly twenty year old unmaintained code. I won't.
Most of the 'advances' involve tracking our activities, serving up targeted advertisements, and cluttering web pages with popups.
You're not wrong. The internet is deep into the latest stages of capitalism. I won't have any of that crap around here.
I recommend Firefox with uBlock Origin, Facebook Container, and Privacy Badger. Run Pi Hole or similar DNS blocker at home.
Which advances are so urgently needed or so desirable that they supersede all efforts to release a new Eu version, or a usable GUI library for Euphoria?
I sense I've struck a nerve and I'm sorry if that's the case. If you want to take anything off my plate I'd be happy to work with you.
And to be honest, I've had a pretty hard time trying to accomplish anything lately and I'm pretty much ready to give up.
