FORTHos is a bare-metal FORTH for Raspberry PI. No wrestling with a Linux or other operating system that's doing fancy dancing in the background.

For the moment, i am a little less ambitious, optimistic, and knowledgable than needed for that tall step. I should do the first steps first. That's definately a solution to the speed issue.
