In fact, any NT-based Windows version is more secure than any Windows 9x version. Windows 9x versions have no built-in measures for segregating users' data from each other, nor do they have any real means of keeping [an unwanted] someone out of the machine altogether. If you do have a "login" screen in Windows 9x, you can just hit Cancel to go into the default user environment. I like XP because I have my system entirely locked down. My personal files are encrype, and you *must* log in to use anything, even in Safe Mode. Was it worth over $150? Probably not. Do I stand by it? Definitely. ~Greg
