What file cannot be opened in append mode? (Windows) [SOLVED]

For testing purposes, is there something that I can open(name,"a") that will/should fail, on windows?
(something that would open just fine with "r" or "w" mode, that is)
Edit: nevermind, open("CON","a") did it.
