I myself started in DECB (Disk-Extended Color BASIC) on my dads'
CoCo3 at about 5-7 years old, and I used this for awhile until I hit a
wall - I wanted to program useful stuff like my dad, except he used
Basic09, something that resembled a mix of basic and C, or
something, I'd have to take a look at his Solitaire source code again.
Unfortunatly, at 7 years old, all the concentration I had was enough
to make pretty ASCII pictures :)

So, the next time I took on a language was at about 14 years old,
when I took on Euphoria. I never mastered it yet (i'm almost 16
now), but after almost 2 years I have the hang of it now. But... Why
do things choke on hWnd handles? grr... I hate windows...

So yeah, Euphoria, IMO, is a great place to start, and to advance in
:) And if you have C experience, its all the better :)
