I'm just thinking we should try to have at least one news item per month. At least! Two per month would be nice, and one per week would be almost ideal. There's got to be that much to say. Even a blurb from the devs.

I agree! Because if all that's happened in the last 5 months is "We had a recent unexpected outage", then we are surely doomed.
