I think you are completely correct.

Would you just point me to a download where i can find a recent 4.0.x (not the old 4.0.5 from 2012)?

And also to the place where i can find a release from the struct branch (no, i do not like to use hg and compile it myself)?

(i just ask for the struct branch becouse you said we allready have structs).
