Re: Delphi DLLs

Hey Ray,

What is APC Magazine? I search the Webs for it and get links to stuff about
UFOs and "psychic warriors."

Delphi may be fine and dandy, but my working in Euhporia (oh bother, uforia)
is loosely related to it thusly: I got a shareware program that I really
liked the concept of, but eventually I decided it was just a spiffy toy...a
poorly programmed one at that, subject to frequent crashes and suspected of
damaging my computer. (Damaging Windows, the file system, etc., which
amounts to damaging the computer.)

I wrote to the author, very tactfully offering to collaborate with him and
help bring his program to snuff as a real tool. He responded by making me a
beta tester for the product, giving me free registration. So I installed the
new version of the program, and it immediately crashed itself AND Windows,
rather horrendously, upon my attempting to run it.

All the above may simply reflect the ineptitude of the programmer or the
phase of the moon, I have no idea. Anyway, I am writing my own vision of
what this other program could be and should be, and I chose uforia as at
least the initial prototyping tool.

That's about all I know about Delphi. I have talked with people who had used
both MSVC++ and Borland C++, and preferred the Borland product. It probably
IS better, considering that MS's is the more popular product.
