Thanks, Lonny, for the reality check. I'm concerned about this as well. I guess if I'm in a hurry I might have to rent a machine that can do up to 240 teraflops. Then I might be able to turn 11+ days into an hour or so. See:

It will prolly take you longer to send the problem to all the nodes than to solve the problem on fewer nodes. You might try a parallel share-all computer instead of a distributed share-none scheme. Even then, you may lose time in setup. I have a small cluster, i seldom need more than 2 or 3 10-yr-old computers on any single problem. Euphoria is bloody fast.
