Do i want v2 instead of v1? I did not install yet. I am not looking for a new programming language, whatever dos won't do, Euphoria does plus more. But lets face it, Eu can runtime crash 5 minutes after i goto bed, while a dos command like "type *.html >> total.htm" will keep running. So i do not want more fancy code like AutoIt, especially if having it opens security holes (you might have noticed this puter hates downloading files).

powershell is not an new programming language. It's an extended cmd.exe or command.com. Maybe you can compare it to the *ix bash,sh,csh etc. family. but in a Windows-style.
You can use it the same way as your old WinXP cmd.exe, but i would suggest you try at first 'update-help' (this updates the help system) and then go on with things like 'get-help command' (where command is any something like dir,copy,ren,del etc.)
