Ever tried powershell.exe? It's preinstalled since Win7. You can download it for free from MS for WinXP and Vista.

No, i have not tried it. I have tried to try it, but MS has the most trying of all web sites. I have been to 100's of their pages looking for the download for winxp, which would be version 2.0, and have not found it. i have repeatedly run across http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/scriptcenter/dd742419.aspx , but it doesn't offer the PowersHell.exe itself, and the page doesn't say it's included separately(?) in any other download.
I finally found how to download v1, have not tried it yet. Took 15 minutes to find ways to download and run the stupid validation and the powershell.exe itself, finally, opened a dosbox and ran wget to get it.
