Then using Eu 2.4 should be fine, or including shrouded libraries in the
main program (which might be written in Eu 2.5), or using libraries that
previously have been compiled to DLLs or SOs.

I'm happy that I'm not the only one who is confused here. smile
Al, some possibilities to reduce startup time have already been
mentioned, but it seems that you don't want to use any of them.
My first impression was, that you wanted to make an omelette without
breaking eggs -- now it almost looks to me as if you want to break eggs
without making an omelette. smile
