Welcome to the Euniverse! I'm not around much longer, so I'll pass on some
good advice to the newcomer...

* Feel free to ask questions you feel are a little stupid. No-one here
  bites your head off.
Even if you were to ask "I don't understand the '&' operator, what does
it do?", someone will tell you. (We might nibble a little if you ask
  twice though! :) )

* The only people who fight here are the regulars who strongly disagree on
something (just like old men bickering ;) ), and deliberately obnoxious
people. Thankfully, there aren't any of the latter around at the
  moment...

* The best way to learn Euphoria is to read the demo programs. The manuals
are useful too, but if you can follow the source code, you're off to a
  flying start.

Read the shorter ones first. Run them in trace mode if you want to see
what they're doing. I think one of the demos is already set up to do
  just that.

* Don't get put off if you read a post on this list that looks frightening
in its complexity. I still get scared reading the Win32 posts, and I've
been here at least 2_1/2 years! (I only wrote my first useful Win32
  program on Monday).

* Euphoria isn't a hard language, so persevere if you keep getting stuck.

* ...but don't expect to be writing super-games or ultra-apps in a week...

* Finally; Don't forget: There's always someone on this mailing list
  who's willing to help.

Have fun,
Carl
