Hi
Jeremy Cowgar.
I see that openeuphoria has moved to a new host.
This was always the plan. The move to my server was meant to be temporary. It turned into much more than temporary, but that's the way it goes sometimes. OpenEuphoria.org has finally been assigned to a new server that some members have contributed funds for. The old host was just not up to the challenge.
Also I see that the svn repositories that were available on the cowgar server / domain are no longer present (for instance http://cowgar.com/svn/euwiki/trunk/bin/, http://cowgar.com/svn/euiup3/ (they were there last week)
That URL is wrong. It should be using the host jeremy.cowgar.com, not cowgar.com. It worked previously due to the root domain name, cowgar.com, being misconfigured. That mis-configuration has been fixed, causing your issue. I did not realize anyone was using cowgar.com/svn/... sorry about that. I actually didn't know it worked until I read this message and then it all made sense. Soon the cowgar.com website (just cowgar.com and www.cowgar.com) will be maintained by my sister with all sorts of Cowgar family genealogy. jeremy.cowgar.com will always be my site and the svn server there does and will remain.
Does this mean that Jeremy has finally definitively left the eu community? (which would be a great shame). Also, do the svn repositories still exist anywhere? I see the eubins directory http://jeremy.cowgar.com/eubins/ still exists, but for how much longer? ALthough I also see that a new location for the windows eubins has been created on the new serever, what about Linux up to date eubins.
No! I'm still here, just not as active as I'd like at the moment. I'm not going anywhere. Euphoria is a fantastic language.
Sad and concerned
Sorry for the concern, but makes me feel good that I'd be missed!
Jeremy
Hi
Thanks for that, bookmarks updated. Glad to see you're still around though!
If some members of the community have contributed to the funding of the new host, why do the rest of the community not know who they are, and why is there no paypal donate button? (yes, I would press it!)
Chris
