This may be a different problem. The float problem only affects two of my demos, and they don't crash, just set positions incorrectly (floats are used to set those positions).

If there are other crashes, I'd like to see what error messages show up. It would help me fix things. Bear in mind, some of my demos use the latest GTK library, some of the demos which use recently implemented controls will not run on earlier GTK libraries.
