I think because no one stepped up and merged the code into the official source. It's going to require someone willing and interested enough to do this. It looks like Rob originally said he expected to do this, but it obviously hasn't happened. The code base has changed a bit since then, so there's probably more work involved than would have been originally. I'm not really interested in adding mingw--OpenWatcom works well for me--though I think it would be a worthy addition. Matt
