getOpenFileName() & getSaveFileName() via FTP?

I'm working with Windows & Eu3 & Win32Lib. I have a Euphoria program which gets and saves configuration files on a local PC.
Now I need to access the files on our FTP server, and the Windows command FTP can handle all the tricky stuff. But has anyone got a version of getOpenFileName() etc which will work on a remote location using FTP? If not I will need to parse the FTP returned data and do my own routines, which is a lot of work, even it it is pretty straightforward stuff. I want the user to be largely unaware that he is accessing the data on our server when he gets files, saves files, and creates new folders. The program can supply the username & password automatically, probably having to do that for each command - put or get or dir or mkdir.
So ... anyone done this?
