Who uses tasks?

I was just wondering, who among you uses euphoria's multi-tasking features?
I use them a lot for FluidAE and another program that communicates with serial devices. Tasks make it easy to manage slow conversations with slow devices while letting the rest of the program work.
I would love to hear of examples of how you are using tasks.
