Oh really? Python, Ruby and JS all have data structures that don't require excessive copying. Python and JS have JITs nowadays. There is a relatively new engine called "tracemonkey" for JS with impressive JIT technology. So I'd really like to see the claims about EU's performance to be backed up.
I'm sure you can create some example where Euphoria's excessive copying causes it to run slower than the exact same operation in some other language. So do so, and post it here.
Maybe that will prompt some improvements in Euphoria.
