Yes, we have such a word, literal translation sounds as "delay".
The English word "delay" is not the same as "do" or "perform", in fact it is almost the opposite. "delay" is used to mean "don't perform the action for now".
Derek, yes, Russian word "delay" means same as English word "do" or "perform". Do you see sounds as "delay" above? It is just Latinic Russian, not English "delay".

I apologise for the confusion. Because you earlier used the phrase "do sounds like cycle", I assumed that "... sounds like ... " was your English for "... is Russian for ...".
I now understand you to be saying that there is a Russian word that sounds like the English word "delay" but actually means "perform".
