Hi Juergen,

On my system:

   temp = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
   tmp  = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp

The "autoexec.bat" file is empty

I tried the following under a "cmd.exe" console:

   Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
   (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

   C:\Documents and Settings\Ken>echo %tmp%
   C:\DOCUME~1\Ken\Local Settings\Temp

   C:\Documents and Settings\Ken>echo %temp%
   C:\DOCUME~1\Ken\Local Settings\Temp

Under a "command.com" console I got:

   Microsoft(R) Windows DOS
   (C)Copyright Microsoft Corp 1990-2001.

   C:\DOCUME~1\KEN>echo %tmp%
   C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

   C:\DOCUME~1\KEN>echo %temp%
   C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

Ken
