Answering your question, Davi Figueiredo made a library to handle registry long time ago: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/cgi-bin/asearch.exu?win=on&keywords=registry AFAIK, you can associate files in three parts of the registry: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes I don't know which one will be read first, I guess CURRENT_USER, but at least you know what to search for now :) Best Regards, Guillermo Bonvehi
