That's why there should be a link from these pages to the relevant comment repository, which should probably be separate from EuForum. This could help sorting out between the so many different sorts of posts there (another topic, but connected though). 2/ Allow contributors to choose whether they'd accept getting comments or not. That choice should be changeable at all times (a check box on the upload/update form). This way, "amateurs" may wish to opt out (the default). If someone wishes to see comments about the no-comment program, they'll just get a "No comment available" page, as if there just wasn't any comment yet. If they wish to leave a comment, they are told that comments are not welcome through this interface, and that emailing the author is preferred. 3/ Comments are not supposed t be replied to, hence you won't store threads at all in the database. Require commenting people to leave a valid email, so that any rambling thread can occur in private, and can occur at all. CChris
