You can use the Euphoria eu.ex source for anything you want. That is the meaning
of "Public Domain". However you would have to implement the C backend on your
own, you cannot use RDS source because it is *not* free or open-source. If you
have seen the C source code, then you open yourself to an infringement lawsuit by
re-implementing it.

It's not a perfect solution, but it is pretty good for the existing user base.

I see no problem with re-releasing the "free" Euphoria version from RDS with
your own libraries and IDEs to create a better product.
