My Euphoria setup used to work fine, but now graphics which are in mode(259) appear as a band across the top of the screen. I read on this forum something about monitors which aren't able to handle these graphics modes. I have a Sony G420, it can deal with alot higher resolution than mode 259. I haven't done any Euphoria for months now and I miss it badly!! I have recently moved to WinXP. Could this cause a problem?

Could this cause a problem? With DOS Euphoria, try "use_vesa(1)" or "machine_proc(36, 1)". If you are using DOS in exclusive mode (Windows ME or older), be sure to restore the original video mode before exiting the program. Regards, Vincent

Thanks heaps Vincent, I've only tried the use_vesa(1) so far but it looks like that has done the trick. Very much appreciated.
