I found euphoria years and years ago searching for
programming languages that didn't have qbasic's
limitations. Downloaded it and found it too hard
to get started. I didn't even understand what a
properly what a programming language was. I think
I tried to figure out how to do what I needed in
html (which was impossible).
A few years after that, when I knew a little more,
I was searching again for powerful programming
languages, and came across euphoria again. I said,
reading the descriptions, 'this is what I've been
looking for all of these years, why didn't I find
this earlier?' I eagerly went to install it only
to discover it was already installed. I kicked
myself thoughroghly for a long time for not realizing
what euphoria could do the first time around.
This line is what really stumped me the first time
through:
if graphics_mode(3) then end if
(right out of the first tutorial you will find)
I couldn't fathom why this was in an if and what it
was doing, and figured this language must be too far
above my head to comprehend... ah well, the ignorence
of youth.
