1. New Euphoria version

When is the next version of Euphoria coming out? We've had 2.5 for a while.
Rob, are you working on a new version? If so, what are you planning to add.

Rob, if you're going to try to post anonymously, you'll need to be more clever
with the name you choose. I mean, COME ON!

"Craig Roberts"
"Robert Craig"

You didn't think we'd figure that out?!

I've released multitasking for the PD source interpreter.
I'm working on the same for the official (C backend) interpreter.
Then I'll do it for the Translator.
After that there are lots of small bug fixes and enhancements
to do. I don't like to wait much longer than a year between
major releases.

By the way, you seem to have stolen someone else's
e-mail address and/or you are not giving us your real name.

5. Re: New Euphoria version

I am not Robert Craig, and I didn't think you guys would accuse him of posting
under a different name, or doing it like this. Of course it isn't my real
name; who's stupid enough to use their real name on the Internet? I didn't
pick it because it's like Rob's either, I use it for all my online stuff.

ps. Vincent, a month or two ago you blew up at Rob and then said you were
leaving. Why'd you come back?

I do not steal, Mr. Craig. A word of advice, don't believe everything you
read. Back to my ORIGINAL QUESTION: so you'll probably release a new version
sometime in 2006?

Well ofcourse I was only joking around. It's smart to lie about your name, email
address, and location. But in your case, google has found your site with your
true idenitity on it, thus your attempt is futile.

There is nothing to worry about on the EUforum mailing list. Everyone here is
nice and helpful. In the past (long before I was here) there were a couple of
f*** heads named Mike the Spike and Rett plaguing the forum. Fortunantly, RDS has
since improved the ListFilter moderation software (written in Euphoria), thus
blocking any new posts with foul content. Besides even if they did return with
imature attitudes, chances are RDS would just unsubscribe and block their sorry
@$$es.

I left for about two weeks, but I was to spoiled with sequences and Euphoria's
simplicity to have stayed gone for long. In addition, I have gotten tired of
object oriented programming with Java, and C#. I mainly left because I figured
Euphoria was doomed for the future. The real truth though is, Euphoria has
survived for nearly 13 years and will continue to so long we continue supporting
it and someone keeps maintaining/improving the langugage. I figure if or when Rob
retires, Euphoria will fall into new management (possibly open-source), but will
still honor the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) idea.

You wouldn't have been able to do that if Rob would keep email addresses off
the list server. If members could hide their email this forum would be much
more secure.

Hi there CR,

If it makes you feel any better, i didnt think you were RC, and, after
all, you're using "Craig Roberts", and *NOT* "Craig Robert", and Rob's name
*IS NOT* "Roberts Craig" either :)

If i happen to be wrong and you are RC, that's fine with me. If you're
RC posting as CR or CR posting as RC then by all means feel free to do
so... :) I happen to believe this is not the case, however.

Take care,
Al

And, good luck with your Euphoria programming!
