That was Exactly what I needed.

Never thought to look in that include (get.e).

Sorry, CK, but you missed the point of the question.  I know that each 
atom inside a sequence is number, but what I wanted was a single atom to 
represent the number (eg 205) from the sequence of ASCII chars (eg 
{50,48,53})
