1. American tax money?

Hello all,
I hate to do this, since it's unrelated, but I thought you American's
on this list might be interested in seeing what Nasa is doing with your
money...setting up procedures documenting what to do if NASA Building
245 is ever attacked by Vikings =)

On a more related note, I just ran a speed comparison of Euphoria under
DosLinux, and under Redhat 5.2, on the same machine. It may suprise you
to know that, in my informal test, exu ran at least 7% faster under
DosLinux.

Also, I've started development of an exu program that will ease the
pains of installing DosLinux and components. And in doing so, I'm
starting to realize the power of Euphoria as a possible shell script
language...beats sh by a long shot. Anyways, I can dream.

That made the rounds of some other lists I'm on - it seems that
it was done by a NASA staffer on his own time, as a spoof of some
of the other ...less sensible... procedures that NASA imposes on
its people. Not all of these things are done with taxpayer money,
and even if they are, things like this can be chalked up to
morale-building and maintaining a tolerable work environment.
Hell, I see internal things like that from within the municipal
agency I work for all the time. They're good for a laugh and a
break from the stress...

I'm quite aware of what it's intended for, and why it was created.
Basically, it's a joke, just as my comment of taxpayer's money being used
for it, was a joke.
