cheerz juergen yes... i will definitely like other people to be able to use / enjoy / suggest improvements on any programs i write so how do i put them on this 'page' please??? danke anke - bitte brgitte eel - aal p.s. is there as quicker way of loggin to post these messages??? i find it tiresome typing out my entire email addresse AND trying to remember my 'random string of character type' password... cant i change the password to one i can remember easier... i hate writing down passwords!!! if i send more than one in the same 'session' i use 'copy' & 'paste' for the password but then i cant use 'copy' & 'paste' for the email addresse too!!! and - if i tick the 'remember password' box does it mean anyone can type a message from 'me' by using my email addresse??? (if i seem a bit pedantic it's coz i have aspergers - but i have a laugh about it too) i am also thinking of writing a sort of 'rule-less' chess type game using wizards & animals instead of kings & chronies!!!

Yes, I think so, and they might be able to discover your address easily - my computer, for example, remembers items previously typed into forms, and I can get my e-mail address back just by hitting 'i' in the e-mail entry. Wouldn't take anyone long to go thru the alphabet. So it's not a good idea to have a public computer remember passwords. Irv

I was meaning this page: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/contrib.htm Simply put the whole universe ... erm, I mean your 'planetarium' program in a ZIP file, and then follow the instructions in the box on top of that page. > danke anke - bitte brgitte Alles klar, Herr Kommissar? > eel - aal > > p.s. is there as quicker way of loggin to post these messages??? > > i find it tiresome typing out my entire email addresse AND trying to > remember my 'random string of character type' password... cant i change > the password to one i can remember easier... i hate writing down > passwords!!! I believe most of us would like to be able to choose our own password, but RDS doesn't provide this feature. I don't know the reason why. > if i send more than one in the same 'session' i use 'copy' & 'paste' > for the password but then i cant use 'copy' & 'paste' for the email > addresse too!!! > > and - if i tick the 'remember password' box does it mean anyone can > type a message from 'me' by using my email addresse??? I'm not sure. I *believe* in that case a cookie will be stored on your hard drive. And then anyone sitting at that computer can type a message from 'you' by using your email address. Especially 'interesting', when you use a public computer. > (if i seem a bit pedantic it's coz i have aspergers - but i have a > laugh about it too) Being pedantic about security will be called 'reasonable' by many people. Maybe it's more comfortable for you to send e-mails to this group. In this case you have to subscribe to Topica, read the details here: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/listserv.htm > i am also thinking of writing a sort of 'rule-less' chess type game > using wizards & animals instead of kings & chronies!!! Why not sign up for the email listserv instead of using the web interface? > (if i seem a bit pedantic it's coz i have aspergers - but i have a laugh about > it too) I'm sure Bill Gates does too! Kat
