1. Serial Port Communications

Greetings.

I am curious if anyone can point me in the right direction for serial
port communications. I can do a simple open("COM1") but I need control
on what baud, parity, stop, etc...

I then went to the archive and found three programs of intrest.

Serial Ports: Al Getz... when running any of the example programs, I
recieve a machine level exception.

Serial I/O: Peter Blue... Errs out trying to access com 2, 3 and 4. I
can't find out where it's trying to access those ports.

Serial Communications: Kondor Attila...the include files produce all
sorts of errors of undefined variables, etc... I fixed a few bugs
(hacking) and once fixing one, another pops up. About 10 bugs later I
hung it up for this one too.

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi Al,

could you send it instead to Rob to add it to the archive?

Thanks, Rolf

The Pcomm.ew is an example wrap,
work correctly but send too many message if it is a HW error.
For this reason is possibile from messages to weed.

The sio_getch(..) is wrong in the old dll , the sio_reed(..) is better.

I suggest to download from www.moxa.com (free)

Product:	PComm Lite for Windows 9x/Me/NT
Version:	2.5
