I'm uploading right now a modified version of win32lib, dubbed v0.70.2a, that should become 0.70.3 when an official release is made. Since I'm packing boxes for moving this week, I won't be very responsive to bug reports these days. For this reason, I suggest delaying official release of 0.70.3 till Dec. 15. I hope I can fix all that I get by that time I'll still be able to read EuForum or email to oedoc hat free doubt fr from office, but will be cut from internet for a few days by the end of next week, time for the new ADSL link to operate properly. Newer additions, unsufficiently tested: * new print job properties: JP_PaperBin, JP_PaperSize, JP_Margins, JP_Collate. * new procedure newPrinter(printer name, flag). Use this to select the printer without a dialog box. Set flag to transfer all user set options to new printer. Do any changes you like, then call getDefaultPrinter() and all printing should occur with expected options without a single dialog popping up. * Some glitches in the docs were spotted and fixed. This version discontinues support for the older onXXX syntax. I'll probably include a small text on how to upgrade old programs. CChris

I'm having the same problem that I had with 0_70_1: won't unzip on Vista machine. CAM Unzip reports CheckDir Error (it can't make dirs?); 5 files extracted. See my previous post on 0_70_1. Wado. huti

With Win32Lib, if I save the file to disk, and then "extract all files", it will work, but will take 10 *minutes*, on a very fast machine!!! It should only take a few seconds. A Google search shows other people have the same problem. I guess I'll have to use WinZip or something until Microsoft fixes this problem. I don't have Vista, so cannot recommand any regarding the issue you have. I like Funduc zip (fsx.exe at www.funduc.com/fszipx.htm). There are othzer freebees, but again, I have no clue how they behave on Vista. HTH CChris

Bernie My files in archive: WMOTOR, XMOTOR, W32ENGIN, MIXEDLIB, EU_ENGIN, WIN32ERU, WIN32API Can be downloaded here: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/cgi-bin/asearch.exu?dos=on&win=on&lnx=on&gen=on&keywords=bernie+ryan

c.k.lester wrote: > 7-zip is nice. > > http://www.7-zip.org/ Yes it is. On Vista it correctly and quickly unzips the Win32Lib zip file. Both CAM Unzip and Easy Zip failed. WinZip is no longer free. Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com
