After installing csdpmi5b.zip, the "file not found" message disappeared, but the error message still appears. CauseWay error 03 : Non-standard protected mode program already active. Please help, thanks!

The other protected mode program would be winxp. Can you run a true dos program in xp? I suspect you may need a batch program to launch a dos session (16bit), and then have it launch ex.exe, so causeway can then toggle back to 32bit. Kat

It shouldn't be necessary to install any extra files. I wonder if you have some funny process running on your system that is interfering with the CauseWay DOS extender. You could also download a program called ProcessExplorer from http://www.sysinternals.com and find out exactly what program is running that is keeping yours from running. In WinXP you can halt/stop/restart processes.... Euman

WOWEXEC.EXE handles both 16 and 32 bit DOS apps on XP > The other protected mode program would be winxp. Can you run a true dos > program in xp?
