I have bound programs which run flawlessly on XP (200+) but all, every single one, crashes on windows 98. Any ideas on what the problem is would be appreciated.

I don't know of any bind-related bug that would explain that. Have you run any of these programs on 98 in unbound form? What are these programs? Are they for Windows? Do they use Win32Lib? I recall there was a version of Win32Lib that worked differently on XP vs 98. Maybe they all have something in common that they try to do, that doesn't work on 98. It's been several years since I've run them on 98. My development started on 98 several years ago and I didn't have any problem at that time. I'm using euphoria 2.4 and win32lib 59.1. The're all getting the same error which I can't remember now. I'm back in the motel. I'll check running the source in the interpretor tomorrow and get the error that is being reported from the bound version. I have some common includes that all pgm's use and I guess it's in one of those since the're all getting the same error.

I recall having a problem with a bound W98 prog after I try use a modified version of machine.e called mach.e (i think) wich worked fine as a source. When I bound the program I started getting exemption faults. So I sitched back to machine.e and everything was then fine. Try to stick to euphoria lib's , when possible, and avoid trying out those neat tricks (hacks) wich other programming languages claim to work. Often not the case for euphoria.

I found MY problem. I use AWinstall to install the software and send environmental vars, etc. It didn't set up the paths correctly in Win98. After I figured that out and fixed them everything worked as expected....Not an EU bind problem.
